In Uzgen, a suspect in domestic violence against his wife was detained

The man suspected of domestic violence in Uzgen has been detained, according to a report from the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region. The incident became known on December 5, 2025, when 45-year-old O. A. approached the Uzgen police station and reported that her husband, 49-year-old K. A., under the influence of alcohol, had a scandal and beat her.

After the complaint was registered, a preliminary investigation was initiated. During the investigation, it was established that K. A. had repeatedly used violence against his wife. In this regard, a decision was made to initiate a criminal case under Article 138 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Torture".

On January 24, 2026, K. A. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility as a suspect. Currently, investigative activities are ongoing.
