An investigation has been initiated in the Chui region regarding the deaths of individuals as a result of a fire.
According to information provided by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region, on January 20, 2026, at 09:53, a report was received at the duty station of the Moscow District Police Department that a silver Volkswagen Golf-3 station wagon had burned on the eastern outskirts of the village of Spartak, near a lake. At the scene, the remains of the driver - O.E., born in 2000, a resident of this village, and his passenger - T.S., born in 2010, a student of the local secondary school, were found.
The preliminary investigation revealed that on January 11, 2026, O.E. purchased this vehicle, and on January 13, he consulted an electrician regarding a malfunction of the left headlight. The specialist, after inspecting the vehicle, noted its poor condition: exposed wires, the smell of gasoline, and smoke in the cabin, and warned about the risks of further operation.
Despite the discovered facts, a case was initiated under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic for a detailed analysis of all circumstances surrounding the incident as part of the criminal proceedings.
Upon completion of the investigation, an appropriate procedural decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region also urges citizens to refrain from spreading false information.
