Two people died in a car fire in the village of Spartak – details

As a result of a car fire in the Chui region, two people died: the driver and his passenger.

According to information provided by the regional police department, the incident occurred on January 20, 2026, at 09:53. The duty unit of the Moscow district police received a report of a fire on the eastern outskirts of the village of Spartak, where a Volkswagen Golf-3 station wagon burned in a vacant lot near a lake.

An investigative operational group promptly arrived at the scene and found the bodies of the two deceased in the vehicle: the driver was in the front seat, while the passenger was in the rear right seat. Their identities were established: the driver was O.E., born in 2000, a resident of the village of Spartak, and the passenger was T.S., a 10th-grade student born in 2010.

It is known that O.E. purchased this car on January 11, 2026, at the "Riom" car market. The next day, he contacted an electrician, S.S., regarding a malfunction of the left headlight. The electrician noted the extremely poor condition of the vehicle: exposed wires, safety violations, as well as the smell of gasoline and smoke in the cabin, warning the owner of the high likelihood of danger in further operation of the car.

Currently, the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the morgue. Forensic examinations have already been scheduled, and necessary measures will be taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
