In Bishkek, lands of the National Academy of Sciences were illegally privatized
The state has restored rights to 11.2 hectares of the Karagach grove
A case of illegal privatization of land belonging to the National Academy of Sciences has occurred in Bishkek, as reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. During the investigation, it was revealed that in 1997, the city hall allocated 11.2 hectares of land in the northern part of the Karagach grove to the Institute of Forestry and Nut Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic for the purpose of conducting scientific research. However, this land was not officially registered, which led to its division and subsequent sale.
After operational measures were carried out, the plot was returned to state ownership.
