The GKNB Returned 11 Hectares of Karagachevaya Grove to the State
According to information from the special services, during the investigation of a criminal case related to corruption as stipulated in part 1 of Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, a plot of 11.2 hectares was returned, which had previously been sold off in parts to private individuals.
It should be noted that back in 1997, by the decree of the Bishkek City Hall No. 107, the northern part of the Karagach Grove was transferred to the Institute of Forestry and Nut Cultivation of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic for scientific purposes. However, the institute did not register this land plot, which allowed some officials to subdivide it and sell it into private hands.
After completing all necessary registration procedures, the plot was returned to state ownership.
The State Committee for National Security emphasizes that work on the return of illegally privatized assets continues. Investigative actions are underway as part of the investigation aimed at returning other properties belonging to the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic that were transferred in violation of regulations.
