The General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan reported the return of an 11.2-hectare land plot to the state balance. This was the result of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, related to the illegal privatization of the assets of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (NAS KR).
During the investigation, it was established that in 1997, the Bishkek city administration made a decision (resolution No. 107) to allocate an 11.2-hectare plot to the Institute of Forestry and Nut Growing of NAS KR for scientific research. However, this plot was never registered with the relevant authorities, which allowed officials to divide it into parts and sell it.
After the completion of the registration procedures, the plot was returned to state ownership, which corresponds to the originally stated purposes of its use.

Currently, operational investigative actions are ongoing within the framework of this criminal case aimed at returning previously unlawfully privatized property of NAS KR to the state balance.
