A man was extorted for 350,000 soms, accused of rape

According to information from the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), T. A. and police officer A. E. B. from the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs were detained in Bishkek. They are suspected of extorting a large sum of money from local resident Ch. M. under the pretext of resolving an issue related to an accusation of rape. The detention occurred on January 17 of this year, when the suspects were caught red-handed during the transfer of 350,000 soms. Ch. M. acted as the complainant in the extortion case. According to the decision of the Lenin District Court of Bishkek, E. A. and T. A. were placed in the GKNB pre-trial detention center.
It has also become known that the suspect is not an active employee of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs, as he was suspended from duty in February 2025 and is currently under the jurisdiction of the personnel department of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs.
