
As explained by the police department, this action was a result of the spread of videos on social media depicting threats and violence involving weapons.
Additionally, the three owners of registered traumatic pistols had their weapons temporarily confiscated. This was done due to violations of storage rules and re-registration. The confiscated pistols are now stored at the district police department.
The police noted that they continue to conduct educational activities among citizens aimed at preventing crimes and accidents involving firearms. Citizens who decide to voluntarily surrender illegally stored weapons will not be subject to criminal liability.
