The special services of Kyrgyzstan, namely the GKNB, have discovered serious violations related to the execution of a contract for the supply of weapons by a private company (LLC) for the Ministry of Defense.
During an audit conducted by the Ministry of Finance, damage to the state was established at 244 million 587 thousand 870 soms (equivalent to 2,700,000 euros). As a result of the initiation of a criminal case and subsequent investigative actions, the losses were fully compensated by the supplying company.
The GKNB continues to actively conduct operational activities aimed at identifying employees of the Ministry of Defense who may be involved in this corruption scheme.
