According to information from the security service, one of the companies that signed a contract for the supply of weapons failed to fulfill its obligations to the Ministry of Defense. As a result of an audit by the Ministry of Finance, damage amounting to 244 million 587 thousand 870 soms was recorded, which is equivalent to approximately 2.7 million euros.
The SCNS also added that as part of the investigation into the criminal case and ongoing operational activities, the specified amount has been fully compensated by the supplier.
The Committee continues to carry out a comprehensive set of operational-search actions aimed at identifying officials of the Ministry of Defense who may have been involved in this corruption scheme.
