The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the capital reports that the main objective of this operation is to identify and suppress cases of illegal storage, carrying, and sale of firearms, gas weapons, and cold weapons, as well as ammunition. The event is also aimed at preventing crimes committed using these items. Special attention is paid to ensuring that citizens and organizations comply with the legal norms regarding the circulation of weapons.
During the operation, the police conduct raids, carry out checks on potential storage locations for weapons, and engage in explanatory work with the population. Compliance with the legal requirements by owners of registered weapons is also monitored.
Since the start of the raid, 17 units of weapons have been seized, and appropriate measures are being taken against violators.
