The State Committee for National Security explained the conditions of the sentence for the former head of the State Tax Service and his deputy.

According to the information from the GKNB, Altynbek Abduvayev and Islambek Kydyrgychov were convicted under the old version of the Criminal Code, as the crime was committed before the penalties for corrupt actions were intensified. The defendants, including A.A.K., fully admitted their guilt during the investigation and compensated the state for damages amounting to 4 billion 307 million soms. This allowed for a procedural agreement on the admission of guilt and the imposition of a fine in accordance with the previous legislative norms.
It should be noted that the detention of A.A.K. and K.I.N. took place on December 6, 2024, as part of a criminal case opened under Article 337, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "Abuse of Office." Their confessions, as well as the actions of the investigative-operational group, contributed to the identification and dismantling of a stable corruption scheme in the tax service, in which, according to the GKNB, employees of the Central Apparatus Inspection Department of the GNS and high-ranking officials were involved.
The GKNB emphasizes that the successful dismantling of this scheme and the measures taken allowed the tax authorities not only to meet the plans for tax and insurance contributions for 2025 but also to increase revenues by 40 billion soms beyond the planned volume.
The investigation into other participants in the case is ongoing. The public will be further informed about the results and the measures being taken.
