The Lenin District Court announced the verdict regarding the former head of the Tax Service, Altynbek Abduvapov, and his deputy, Islambek Kydyrgychov.
According to court information, both defendants were found guilty of abuse of office, which is classified under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The court, taking into account the accumulation of penalties, imposed a fine of 400,000 soms on Altynbek Abduvapov in favor of the state, and 300,000 soms on Islambek Kydyrgychov. In addition, they were deprived of the right to hold certain positions and engage in specific activities.
A third participant in the case, T.A., was also found guilty and received a fine of 330,000 soms for abuse of office and illegal arms trafficking. He is also prohibited from holding certain positions and engaging in specific activities.
Furthermore, both Altynbek Abduvapov and Islambek Kydyrgychov were stripped of their special ranks and state awards. The preventive measure against them, which was detention, was replaced with a pledge not to leave until the verdict comes into legal force.
The preventive measure for T.A. remained unchanged.
