According to law enforcement information, on January 11, a signal was received by the police from the staff of the regional hospital during the night. They reported that an unknown man in serious condition had been brought to them by ambulance.
On the same day, E.S., a resident of the Talas district, contacted law enforcement, reporting the death of his father, 56-year-old E.Z., and requested that those responsible for the incident be identified and appropriate measures taken.
The statement was registered, and a preliminary investigation was initiated. As a result of operational activities, police officers detained the suspect — T.B., 46 years old, also a resident of the Talas district.
According to preliminary information, T.B. and E.Z. were drinking alcohol together. During a conflict between them, T.B. struck E.Z. on the head with a stick, after which the victim died in the hospital. A forensic medical examination has been appointed in connection with the death.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee, and he has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are ongoing.
