In the Talas District, a man dealt fatal blows with a stick

On the night of January 11, 2026, the Talas District Department of Internal Affairs received a signal from a local hospital, where medical staff reported the serious condition of a patient — an unidentified man who had been brought in from the same area. The information about the incident was provided by the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Directorate.

On the same day, a local resident named E.S. reported to the police that her father, born in 1968, E.Zh., had died. She asked law enforcement to investigate the cause of his death and identify the responsible party.

During operational activities, a suspect, born in 1977, named T.B., living in the Talas region, was detained. He stated that the day before, he had been drinking alcoholic beverages at his home with E.Zh. During a quarrel that arose, under the influence of alcohol, T.B. struck E.Zh. on the head with a stick, resulting in the latter's death in the hospital. A forensic medical examination was appointed to clarify the circumstances of the death.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 130 (Causing serious harm to health). The detained individual has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
