According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the day of the incident, the police were implementing temporary traffic restrictions for vehicles and pedestrians, as the transportation of a suspect in a serious crime was taking place under guard.
The agency reported that at the time of the traffic closure, one citizen did not comply with the lawful request of the police officer and attempted to cross the street. In an effort to quickly remove him from the dangerous area, the man lost his balance and fell. A witness to the incident immediately came to his aid and led him to a safe place.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens to maintain public order and comply with the lawful requests of police officers to ensure safety.
It was previously reported that the incident occurred on the evening of January 10 at the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Beyshenalieva Street in Bishkek. The footage shows that during the traffic closure due to an approaching convoy, the patrol officer was moving pedestrians off the road. One of the men, who was trying to run across the street, fell after colliding with the police officer, and he was assisted by a passerby who helped him get up. After the incident, the man expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the patrol officer.
