Maritime accident in Thailand: Kyrgyz citizens refused hospitalization


According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, both Kyrgyz citizens remained unharmed and refused medical assistance. Their health condition is assessed as satisfactory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic also reported that the embassy in Malaysia promptly contacted the citizens through the Honorary Consul in Thailand. Personal contact has been confirmed, and there is no threat to their health.

The collision occurred in the Phuket area, resulting in 55 people being injured; however, none of them were citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The diplomatic mission continues to monitor the situation's development.

According to available information, both citizens intend to return to their homeland on January 15, 2026.
