In Thailand, a boat collided with a fishing vessel: tourists from the Kyrgyz Republic were on board

As a result of the collision between a speedboat and a fishing vessel in Thailand, one person died, and among the injured were tourists from Russia and other countries.
According to preliminary data, there were 33 Russian citizens on board the speedboat, as well as tourists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other states. As a result of the incident, a Russian woman born in 2008 died from her injuries. Additionally, 23 Russians with various injuries were hospitalized in medical facilities in Phuket, where they are receiving necessary assistance, as reported by the Russian Consul General in Thailand, Egor Ivanov.

The accident occurred on January 11 when the speedboat Korawich Marine 888 collided with the fishing trawler Pichai Samut 1 near the island of Koh Kai, located not far from Phuket. As a result of the impact, 52 tourists and 3 crew members ended up in the water, as the front part of the speedboat was destroyed, leading to its sinking.

So far, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not provided comments regarding the injured citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
