The Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained former deputy Akkulu Berdiev

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated an investigation into a criminal case related to large-scale fraud. As part of this case, former deputy Akkulu Berdiev has been detained.

According to preliminary data from the investigation, in 2022, Berdiev, using deception, unlawfully acquired a significant amount of money and used it for his personal interests.

Additionally, law enforcement agencies had previously received complaints from his wife regarding instances of domestic violence. These complaints have been registered and are currently under review in accordance with the law.

Investigative actions are ongoing.
