In Bishkek, preventive raids "Arsenal" have been conducted since the beginning of the year.
The main tasks of the operation include identifying and suppressing cases of illegal storage, carrying, and sale of weapons, as well as monitoring compliance by citizens and organizations with the legal norms regarding the circulation of weapons and the prevention of crimes involving their use.
As part of "Arsenal," various raids, operational-preventive measures, inspections of potential weapon storage locations, and educational work with the population are being carried out. There is also control over the owners of registered weapons.
Since the beginning of the operation, 17 units of weapons have already been seized from illegal circulation. Appropriate measures are being taken against individuals who have violated the legislation.
Internal affairs officials emphasize that work within the operation continues actively, aimed at protecting the residents and guests of the capital.
The police urge citizens to strictly adhere to legislative requirements. In the case of voluntarily surrendering illegally stored weapons, citizens can avoid liability under the law. Information about facts of illegal weapon circulation is requested to be reported to the nearest internal affairs departments or by phone at 102.
