A man has been detained in the Chuy region on suspicion of hooliganism.

According to information from the regional Department of Internal Affairs, on January 7, as part of the raid operation "Wheel," a BMW X5 was stopped in Shopokov, located in the Sokuluk district (the "Novostroyka" residential area). The driver, I. A., was noted to have the smell of alcohol, which led to his transportation to the narcological department of the Sokuluk district.

During transportation to the narcological facility, the driver exhibited aggression, using foul language and applying physical force against a police officer, resulting in bodily injuries and damage to the officer's uniform.

The results of the narcological examination showed that I. A. was in a state of alcohol intoxication. A forensic medical examination was assigned to the police officer, who was preliminarily diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and a concussion.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 280 "Hooliganism" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The driver, born in 1993, has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.

The investigation is ongoing.
