Visit to Moscow. Deputies discussed access to education for migrant children
The Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Marlen Mamataliyev, headed a parliamentary delegation that arrived on an official visit to the Russian Federation, as reported by the parliament's press service.
At the airport, the delegation was met by Anna Kuznetsova, Deputy Chair of the State Duma, as well as other high-ranking officials.
The delegation includes deputies Talant Mamytov, Gulnara Baatyrova, Gulya Kozhokulova, Gulnara Akimbaeva, Jumabek Salymbekov, Aigul Akhmedova, Zhyldyz Egenberdieva, as well as the First Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies Nursultan Kubanov and the Director of "Kyrgyztest" Batma Topoeva-Stavinskaya.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation visited the "Marina Roscha" school named after V. F. Orlov in Moscow, where they learned about the testing procedures for migrant children to enter general education classes.
During the visit, the delegates received information about the testing process and noted the complexity of the tasks, suggesting that they be simplified. The members of the delegation also took a test to assess its level of difficulty and content.
“Education for the children of our compatriots abroad is a matter of priority importance. The conditions for testing must be clear and fair, taking into account the language characteristics of the children,” noted Marlen Mamataliyev.
The Director of "Kyrgyztest" Batma Topoeva-Stavinskaya added: “While assessing knowledge is important, such procedures should not create barriers to obtaining education. Our goal is to create conditions that allow every child to adapt and learn in a comfortable environment.”
Then, a meeting took place between the speaker and the members of the delegation with the Kyrgyz diaspora and labor migrants at the Exhibition and Trade Center of the Kyrgyz Republic (VDNH). During the open dialogue, important issues concerning compatriots were discussed, and citizens received clarifications.
“The state always supports its citizens, regardless of their location. All the raised issues will be taken into account and worked on with the relevant authorities,” emphasized Marlen Mamataliyev.
In addition, high-level meetings are planned as part of the visit, including bilateral negotiations with the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko.
