In Kyrgyzstan, spring preventive measures aimed at combating animal diseases have begun, reports the Ministry of Agriculture. As part of the approved plan, vaccination of heifers aged 3–6 months against brucellosis is being carried out. Blood samples are also being taken from cattle for the diagnosis of this disease. To protect domestic animals, vaccination of dogs and cats against rabies is being conducted, and deworming against echinococcosis has also begun.

As part of the mass vaccination of sheep and goats, vaccinations are being carried out against sheep pox and brucellosis, while cattle are vaccinated against sheep pox, anthrax, and karas. Funding for vaccination is provided from the state budget.

To ensure a stable epizootic situation in 2026, veterinary structures in the regions are fully supplied with the necessary biopreparations, antihelminthics, and disinfectants. Specialized refrigeration equipment has been installed for the proper storage of these products.

The plan for anti-epizootic measures was developed taking into account the livestock population and the epizootic situation in various regions. It has been coordinated with local self-government bodies and approved in the established manner.

In 2026, 135 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of veterinary drugs and biopreparations. All necessary funds for conducting spring preventive measures have already been fully secured.

Currently, attention is being focused on monitoring compliance with veterinary standards in the storage of vaccines and biopreparations, as well as their quality and rational use.
