In Kyrgyzstan, online identification for financial market clients and electronic health books will be introduced
At the recent operational meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, key issues were discussed, including the results of socio-economic development for the first two months of 2026, budget execution, plans for 100-day reforms, and preparations for spring fieldwork.
According to preliminary data, the country's gross domestic product in January-February amounted to 264.1 billion soms, which is 8.8% more than in the same period of 2025. Success is observed in the construction sector (growth of 23.2%), in the services sector (6.7%), and in agriculture (2.6%). Industrial production increased by 15.5% due to significant development in the chemical and food industries, as well as in the production of building materials and transportation.
The head of the Cabinet noted that the volume of investments in fixed capital reached 17.8 billion soms, supported by an increase in domestic funding sources by 11.5%.
During the meeting, budget execution indicators were also reviewed. The tax and customs services, together with the Ministry of Finance, presented data on the execution and utilization of budget funds, emphasizing the importance of adhering to budget indicators on time.
Particular attention was paid to new reforms being implemented under the "Government Accelerators" program.
The first proposed reform is to simplify clients' access to financial services in the securities market. This includes the introduction of remote digital identification, ensuring access to the state passport registry, and allowing foreign investors to open brokerage accounts online. This process will be reduced to 15 minutes, significantly enhancing the country's investment attractiveness.
The second reform involves the introduction of digital sanitary books. It is planned to create an electronic version of the book integrated into the "Sanarip Klinik" system and the "Tündük" mobile application. The documentation processing time will be reduced from 8 to 4 days, the number of necessary visits to medical institutions will decrease from 5 to 2, and a unified registry with online verification capabilities will be created, allowing for annual savings of up to 6-12 million soms.
"The digital transformation of the financial sector and the modernization of the sanitary book system is not just a convenience for citizens, but also an important step towards increasing investment attractiveness and strengthening the country's economic stability," noted the Prime Minister.
All responsible agencies were tasked with implementing the specified reforms within 100 days.
The meeting also discussed issues related to preparations for spring fieldwork, with an emphasis on the readiness of regions, farmers, and ensuring the necessary resources for successful sowing.
