- A pilot project for an electronic queue system for trucks has been launched at the "Torugart" border crossing. This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service (GTS).

On March 10, 2026, the Deputy Chairman of the GTS, Kyialbek Mukashov, familiarized himself with the stages of implementing the project to modernize the infrastructure of this border crossing.

“The introduction of the electronic queue system is aimed at organizing the movement of trucks and reducing the traffic jams that previously often occurred near the border crossing. At certain times, the queue length reached 25 kilometers, which created additional stress on the road infrastructure and negatively impacted the ecology in the area of Lake Chatyr-Kul. The new system involves the preliminary registration of trucks and the order of their passage through the border crossing. Vehicles will be placed in the waiting area 'Kara-Bulak', from where they will be gradually directed to the border crossing according to the electronic queue,” the message states.
