According to information from the agency, the new system aims to streamline the movement of freight transport and reduce the multi-kilometer traffic jams that often occurred near the checkpoint.
At times, the queue length reached 25 kilometers, which created serious problems for the road infrastructure and worsened the environmental situation in the area of Lake Chatyr-Kul.

The electronic queue includes the preliminary registration of freight vehicles and the formation of the order in which they pass through the checkpoint. Vehicles will be placed in the waiting area 'Kara-Bulak' and will be gradually directed to the border according to the established electronic queue.
This project is being implemented in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 401, adopted on July 8, 2025, as well as within the framework of the concept for the development of the Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan for 2026–2030.
During his working trip, the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service, Kiyalbek Mukashev, familiarized himself with the modernization of the checkpoint infrastructure. In particular, work is underway on the construction of an inspection and examination complex, the reconstruction of administrative buildings, and the expansion of the checkpoint area.
In addition, a new waiting room for representatives of foreign economic activity has been opened at 'Torugart', which is expected to improve working conditions for carriers and businessmen.
