An electronic queue for trucks has been launched at the 'Torugart' checkpoint

The 'Torugart' checkpoint has launched a pilot project implementing an electronic queue system for trucks, as reported by the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan.
The leadership of the customs service familiarized themselves with the implementation of the project on March 10 during a working trip to the Kyrgyz-Chinese border.

The goal of the system is to optimize the movement of freight transport and reduce traffic jams that previously regularly occurred at the checkpoint. At certain times, the length of the queues could reach 25 kilometers, which created significant pressure on the road infrastructure and negatively affected the ecology around Lake Chatyr-Kul.

The electronic queue involves the pre-registration of trucks and their orderly passage through the checkpoint. Vehicles are placed in the waiting area "Kara-Bulak" and sent to the checkpoint in the order determined by the system.

This project is being implemented in accordance with the government resolution No. 401 dated July 8, 2025, and as part of the activities to implement the Customs Service Development Concept for 2026-2030.

During the visit, Deputy Chairman of the Customs Service Kiyalbek Mukashov also checked the progress of infrastructure modernization at the 'Torugart' checkpoint. In particular, he inspected the construction of an inspection and examination complex, the reconstruction of administrative buildings, and the expansion of the checkpoint area.

Additionally, during the trip, a new waiting area for participants in foreign economic activity was opened, which is expected to enhance comfort and improve the organization of work for carriers and business representatives.
