The Housing Committee approved a bill aimed at implementing a project to improve the roads of the city of Osh.

As part of the discussion, the issue of ratifying the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasian Development Bank regarding the project "Improvement of Roads in the City of Osh" was considered. This project includes the construction of two elevated bridges and a 3.2 km stretch of road. The signing of the agreement took place on December 29, 2025, in Bishkek.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Ulukbek Janibekov presented the draft law, which details the main directions for implementing the project. He reported that the project plans to construct two elevated bridges, as well as an overpass over A. Masaliev and V. Lenin streets, and a bridge over the Ak-Buura River. Additionally, the project includes the widening of streets to 4-6 lanes with a median strip.

The total budget for the project is $19.31 million, of which $14.15 million is loan funds, and $1.24 million is allocated on a 15-year repayment basis. The grace period for this loan is 5 years, and the interest rate is 1.2%.
