The Housing Committee approved the bill on the ratification of the Agreement for the project "Improvement of Roads in the City of Osh" in the first reading.

- Today, March 2, during the meeting of the Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development of the Jogorku Kenesh, the draft law "On the Ratification of the Financing Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasian Development Bank for the Implementation of the Project 'Improvement of Roads in the City of Osh'" was discussed and received a positive review. The agreement was signed on December 29, 2025, in Bishkek.

As part of the project, it is planned to update the section covering the streets of J. Babarayimov and Shamshet. This initiative is part of the development strategy for the city of Osh and aims to support the tourism sector in the region, with the goal of creating a safe, modern, and efficient transport infrastructure.

The project includes the construction of two elevated bridges, an overpass over the streets of A. Masaliev and V. Lenin, as well as a bridge over the Ak-Buura River. In addition, the roads are to be expanded to 4-6 lanes with a median strip.
