For the first time in Bishkek, an online broadcast of court hearings was conducted at the Sverdlovsk District Court, including a case of domestic violence. The broadcast was carried out on the YouTube channel "Supreme Court".

Present at the hearing were the Deputy Head of the Supreme Court Office Aman Jumaliev and the Deputy Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Aydarov, as reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.

It is worth noting that amendments were made to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, introducing the concepts of "video conferencing" and "online broadcast of court hearings." These amendments establish the right of defendants and other participants in the proceedings to access the minutes of the hearings, including audio and video recordings, as well as the opportunity to submit comments. It is now possible to request that hearings be conducted using video communication or broadcast live—on television, radio, or via the Internet.

According to the new rules, the court may allow real-time broadcasts of hearings on television, radio, and the Internet either at the request of the participants in the case or on its own initiative, which helps to uphold the interests of justice, transparency, and the safety of the participants in the process. An 18th clause has been added to Article 46, granting participants the right to submit requests for court proceedings to be conducted using online broadcasts. Additionally, part 3 of Article 280 has been supplemented with a clause 5, which permits broadcasting through media or online in real-time format.

Furthermore, according to Article 290-1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the court has the right to allow the real-time broadcast of court hearings on television, radio, and/or the Internet at the request of participants or on its own initiative. The decision on the possibility of broadcasting is made by the court, taking into account the interests of justice, transparency, and the safety of the participants in the process. These measures aim to enhance the transparency of the judicial system, strengthen public trust in justice, and ensure openness, as well as improve the legal culture among the population. They allow for remote observation of real practices, discipline the participants in the process, and contribute to reducing bureaucracy and increasing access to justice.
