For the first time, an online broadcast of court hearings took place in Bishkek
Attending the event were Aman Jumaliev, Deputy Head of the Supreme Court Apparatus, and Aibek Aydarov, Deputy Minister of Justice.
It should be noted that amendments have been made to the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan, legalizing terms such as "video conferencing" and "online broadcast of court hearings." It is now legally established that defendants and other participants in the process have the right to familiarize themselves with the minutes of the hearings, including audio and video recordings, as well as the opportunity to submit comments on them.
Additionally, it has become possible to submit petitions for holding hearings using video communication or live broadcasts — via television, radio, or the internet.
These measures are aimed at improving the transparency of the judicial system, enhancing public trust in justice, as well as ensuring openness and increasing legal culture among the population. They allow for remote monitoring of court processes, discipline participants, and contribute to reducing bureaucracy and improving access to justice.
