The Jogorku Kenesh will consider a bill in March allowing no more than 1 amendment to be made to the codes within a year.

- In March, the Jogorku Kenesh plans to discuss a draft law that will limit the number of amendments to the codes to one per year. This draft law has already been included in the parliamentary agenda.

The initiator of the amendments is the Ministry of Justice, which explains that "the introduction of a norm limiting the frequency of changes to the code is an important step towards enhancing the stability and resilience of legal regulation in the country. This will allow for the formation of legislative practice focused on long-term perspectives."

Seventeen codes will be affected by the changes, including:

? Administrative Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Budget Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Water Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Air Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Civil Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Civil Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Housing Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Land Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Children;

? Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Non-Tax Revenues;

? Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Offenses;

? Forest Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Family Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Penal Enforcement Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

? Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is worth noting that this restriction will not apply in situations where changes to the codes are made by decision of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic or in accordance with a ruling of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
