Today in Intymak Ordo, a contract signing ceremony took place between the JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" and BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management for the acquisition of two Airbus A321ceo aircraft. The agreement was signed by Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," and Steve Zissis, CEO of BBAM.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, in his address, Adylbek Kasymaliev, the head of the government, noted that this agreement is the result of trust and open dialogue, as well as a commitment to long-term partnership. He emphasized that the use of modern aircraft will elevate the level of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan.
Kasymaliev also expressed gratitude for the support in modernizing the country's air fleet. He stated that the development of the aviation sector had previously occurred in a fragmented manner due to insufficient support; however, significant changes have begun in recent years. He noted that the strategic decision by President Sadyr Japarov to establish the State Agency for Civil Aviation has been an important step for the development of this sector.

According to audits conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 2023-2024, Kyrgyzstan's aviation system confirmed compliance with international standards. The latest audit showed a safety effectiveness level of 85.76%, significantly higher than previous figures. These results create the prerequisites for Kyrgyzstan's removal from the European Union's Safety List, and a final audit from the European Commission is expected in the coming days.

The Airbus A321ceo aircraft are expected to be delivered to JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" by the end of 2026. The purchase of these aircraft aims to support the national carrier "Asman Airlines," which is a subsidiary of the JSC, enhance passenger comfort, improve flight safety, and expand the geography of flights, which in turn will strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the international aviation space.
