The Jogorku Kenesh approved in three readings the ratification of a $20 million grant from Japan for the reconstruction of the bridge over the Naryn on the Bishkek—Osh highway.

- During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the deputies approved the draft law on the ratification of the Exchange Notes between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Japanese government regarding the project "Reconstruction of the bridge over the Naryn River on the Bishkek – Osh highway." This decision was made in three readings.

The speaker was Ulukbek Janibekov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications. He noted that this draft law is aimed at improving transport links between Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries, which will be made possible by the reconstruction of the bridge over the Naryn River on the Bishkek-Osh highway, ensuring safe and uninterrupted traffic.

"The reconstruction of the bridge will take place in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region at the 315th kilometer of the Bishkek–Osh highway. The Japanese government is providing a grant of up to 3 billion 190 million yen, which is equivalent to 20 million 416 thousand 639 US dollars," he added.
