
According to the chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, Baktybek Kudaybergenov, the data will be transmitted to a central server via secure communication channels, ensuring their security and rapid processing.
During the meeting, significant preliminary work that has already been completed was also emphasized:
- The census forms and the list of key indicators have been agreed upon with relevant agencies and the FAO.
- Four census forms, instructions for staff, and a detailed schedule have been confirmed.
- A pilot census conducted in 2024 allowed for improvements in software and methodology.
- From 2025 to 2026, a multi-stage training program for staff will be implemented, including in-person and online courses. In the first stage, over 200 specialists have undergone advanced training.
To effectively manage the process, an interagency working group was established in December 2025. A total of 6,791 temporary workers will be involved in the census:
- Registrars – 1,179 people;
- Census takers – 4,494 people;
- Instructor controllers – 898 people;
- Coordinators – 220 people.
The schedule for attracting staff has also been approved: coordinators will start working in February 2026, while the main staff (instructors and census takers) will begin work in March-April.
“The agricultural census is an important tool for forming an objective strategy for the country's food security. We need to obtain an accurate understanding of the agricultural potential of the republic for more effective planning of farmer support programs,” noted the participants of the Republican Commission.
In conclusion, Bakyt Torobayev emphasized that government authorities and local self-government bodies must ensure timely organization, logistics, and support for conducting the census.
It should be noted that according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the census will take place from March 20 to April 10, 2026.
