Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, who previously held the position of speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, announced his intention to resign from his deputy powers ahead of schedule. He posted the corresponding statement on social media.

In his address, he noted that in recent days rumors and false accusations have arisen around him.

In the sacred days of Orozo and before the face of God, I want to declare: I had no involvement in intrigues, including the appeal of seventy-five veterans and the collection of signatures. I learned about the letter that caused public resonance only during my visit to Turkey, and I had no opportunity to respond to it.

In the month of Orozo, we, Muslims, should avoid spreading unverified information and slander. Frankly speaking, my health has deteriorated lately, and I have been undergoing treatment. This is known to those who are close to me and have worked with me. In this regard, I have decided to leave politics, focus on restoring my health and personal affairs, and also resign from my deputy mandate, the politician emphasizes.

I express my sincere gratitude to all voters for their trust and ask for forgiveness for the premature termination of my powers.

I also want to note that during my leadership of the Jogorku Kenesh, many significant initiatives were proposed and important laws were adopted, although not all of them were perceived positively by society.

Every word and action of mine was based not on personal interests, but on concern for the state, the people, and future generations.
