The avalanche that descended in the Chychkan gorge was quickly cleared, allowing traffic on the Bishkek-Osh highway to return to normal.
Restrictions at the "Sosnovka" and "Aral" border crossing points have also been lifted.
The road clearing was carried out by the Road Maintenance Enterprise No. 23.
The incident occurred on February 17, 2026, when at 12:10 two avalanches descended on sections of the Bishkek-Osh highway, each approximately 100 meters long and about 5 meters high.
