President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree relieving Timur Shabdanbekov from his position as Deputy Chairman of the GKNB.
Akyilbek Namazov has been appointed to take his place.
Additionally, several media outlets report other resignations in local GKNB offices.
Tynchtyk Subankulov, in particular, has been relieved of his post as head of the GKNB department for the Jalal-Abad region. This was reported by Region.
It is also known that a criminal case has been initiated against the former head of the Bishkek GKNB office on charges of corruption, and he is currently in pre-trial detention.
