A resident of the capital, N.K., filed a report with the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District of Bishkek, informing about a fraudulent incident that occurred on January 22, 2024. According to him, two acquaintances, M. and A., deceitfully convinced him to purchase two plots of land with a total area of 16 acres in the village of Selektsiya for the amount of 200,000 US dollars. Information about this incident was provided to the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
According to law enforcement agencies, the suspects, lacking rights to the specified plots, caused significant financial damage to the victim. From the amount of 200,000 US dollars, he managed to recover only 57,500 dollars, after which the fraudsters disappeared. The total amount of damage amounted to 12,281,156 soms.
In connection with this incident, the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District of Bishkek initiated a criminal case under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities, police officers detained one of the suspects, U.M., born in 1985. He was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
The identity of the second suspect has already been established, and necessary investigative actions and operational measures are currently ongoing.
