According to law enforcement agencies, the victim, a citizen identified as N.K., filed a complaint with the police. He stated that on January 22, 2024, two acquaintances, who introduced themselves as M. and A., deceitfully gained his trust and sold him two plots of land totaling 16 acres in the village of Selektsiya for cash in the amount of $200 thousand.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had no ownership rights to these plots, and their actions caused significant financial damage. Of the amount promised to be returned, $200 thousand, the victim was only refunded $57 thousand 500, after which the fraudsters disappeared.
The total damage, according to the investigation, amounted to 12 million 281 thousand 156 soms.
In connection with this incident, the Investigative Service of the Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, one of the suspects, U.M., born in 1985, was detained. He is currently placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The identity of the second suspect has also been established, and necessary actions are being taken to detain him. The investigation is ongoing.
