The deputy inquired with the Ministry of Economic Development about the measures being taken against violators of halal standards.
He addressed the Deputy Minister of Economy Sultan Akhmatov, clarifying: “You issue certificates for halal products, right?” To which Akhmatov confirmed this fact.
Isirailov then inquired about the measures taken against companies that have received certification but do not comply with the standards. In response, the Deputy Director of Kyrgyzstandart Abdymanap Karymshakov explained that companies must undergo a comprehensive series of checks to obtain certification.
“Companies are required to follow all verification procedures during certification. If they subsequently violate requirements or fail to fulfill their obligations, they may be held accountable under the law, including by law enforcement agencies,” Karymshakov noted.
