Imandos Bektenov, representing the national shooting team of Kyrgyzstan, has won a silver medal at the Asian Championship.
From February 2 to 14, the continental shooting championship is taking place in New Delhi, India, with 385 athletes from 19 countries participating. The competition covers three age categories, and the Kyrgyz Republic is represented by 16 athletes under the guidance of three coaches.
As a result of the first day of competitions in the 10 m Air Pistol discipline, two representatives from Kyrgyzstan made it to the finals. Askhat Tokmokov took 7th place among adults, while Imandos Bektenov, competing in the junior category, secured 2nd place and received a silver medal.
