Torobaev discussed irrigation issues with international development partners

- The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev held negotiations with representatives of the diplomatic corps and leaders of international financial organizations on February 2. The topic of discussion was "Future Investments in the Irrigation Sector of Kyrgyzstan," as reported by the press service of the President's Administration.

During the meeting, important global challenges facing the development of the country's water and irrigation sectors were addressed, and investment needs and directions for further cooperation were identified, including the development of specific methods to solve pressing issues.

Participants also discussed progress on ongoing water management projects being implemented in partnership with the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, and other international organizations.
