The Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Inspected Construction Work at Solar Power Plants
In the Issyk-Kul region, the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Talaybek Ibraev, held a series of meetings with representatives of companies engaged in renewable energy sources.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Energy, the minister was briefed on the construction process of a solar power plant being carried out by the company "Unigrin" in the village of Toru-Aygyr. The company's technical director, Timurlan Kadinov, reported on the current work and future plans, noting that construction activities are actively ongoing.
Currently, the following stages have been completed:
• Site planning – 80%;
• Installation of fencing – 95%;
• Delivery of supporting structures for the first phase – 50%;
• Piling for supporting structures of the first phase – 6%;
• Installation of sediment control structures, including a diversion channel and drainage ponds – 50%;
• Preparation of foundations for 220 kV power line supports – 40%;
• Assembly of supports is in progress.
The launch of the solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW is scheduled for August 31, 2026.
Additionally, Minister Ibraev inspected another solar power plant project being implemented by the company "RECA." During a meeting with project director Fam Minh Bag and construction site manager Nguyen Minh Tuan, he learned about the current status of the work. According to them, 10% of the total construction work for the 17 MW solar power plant has been completed so far.
At this point, the construction of temporary housing for workers has been completed, the foundation for the substation has been laid, and 50% of the 110 kV power line has been installed. It is expected that the construction of the first phase of the project with a total capacity of 175 MW will be completed in the first half of 2026.
The Minister of Energy strongly recommended that the company's management enhance control over the quality and speed of work, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the established deadlines.
