Members of the Central Election Commission participated in an international conference in India

The representative of the Central Election Commission, Uzarbek Zhilkybaev, along with an employee from the election organization department, traveled to New Delhi, India, to participate in an international conference dedicated to issues of democracy and elections.

According to the press service of the CEC, this event is organized by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in collaboration with the Indian International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) and International IDEA. The conference is taking place as part of India's presidency in this international organization in 2026.

The meeting gathered representatives from election management bodies of International IDEA member countries and other states, aimed at discussing current challenges, opportunities in electoral administration, as well as sharing experiences and best practices.

During the conference, CEC members also participated in a closed plenary session, where key areas of work for International IDEA member countries were discussed.
