Television channels recommended to fill the air with domestic films and series

As part of the support and development of the state language, television channels in Kyrgyzstan have been recommended to showcase films produced by the studios "Kyrgyzfilm" and "Kyrgyzserial." This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev during a meeting with representatives of television channels.

According to Tagaev, this initiative was prompted by a decrease in the share of domestic content on air and insufficient compliance with the legal norms regarding the mandatory broadcasting of programs in the state language.

The Deputy Minister noted that in the future, films produced by "Kyrgyzfilm" and "Kyrgyzserial," which are managed by the Department of Cinematography, could occupy airtime on television channels, including productions from other private companies.

"Recently, the state has been actively supporting the Department of Cinematography, where dozens of new films are being created. Currently, the archive of the studio 'Kyrgyzfilm' includes 424 films and over 40 animated works, while 'Kyrgyzserial' has produced 10 series. Collaboration is possible on the terms of a 10-percent barter and annual contracts, and there are producers ready to provide their works free of charge," he added.

In the "Kyrgyzfilm" fund, one can find films related to the era of the "Kyrgyz miracle," as well as quality artistic and documentary works of various genres.

Additionally, the new studio "Kyrgyzserial" has released 1–2 seasons of the series "Choochun Kishi," as well as series such as "Zhalbyz," "Bizdin Klass," "Talant jana Tagdyr," "Muras," "Taygan," "Flowers on Ice," "Chypalak Bala," and others. There are also animated films available, such as "Amantai menen Aituyak" and "Byitykchalar."

"We are ready to provide all this content and will monitor its broadcast," assured the Deputy Minister.

Marat Tagaev also suggested that television channels begin negotiations with the Department of Cinematography and participate in competitions for film production organized by this agency.
