The court found former head of the State Tax Service Abdyvapov and his ex-deputy guilty.

On December 25, 2025, the court issued a ruling on the culpability of Altynbek Abdyvapov and Islambek Kydyrgychev in a corruption case. According to the press service of the Bishkek City Court, Abdyvapov was fined 400,000 soms (4,000 calculated indicators) and was also deprived of the right to hold certain positions and awards.

As for Islambek Kydyrgychev, his fine amounted to 300,000 soms (3,000 calculated indicators) with similar restrictions on holding government positions.

Both individuals were detained during the investigation related to corruption in the State Tax Service. Investigative authorities discovered assets belonging to Abdyvapov totaling around 55 million dollars, the origin of which raised suspicions.

At the beginning of 2025, their detention was extended, and the Pervomaisky District Court granted the prosecution's request for them to remain in custody.

The investigation concerned a corruption scheme in the STS, particularly in the area of excise stamps on alcohol. The GKNB reported that the damage to the state in this case amounted to 3.2 billion soms. During the investigation, several high-ranking officials of the STS were detained and questioned, including Islambek Kydyrgychev, while Altynbek Abdyvapov was summoned for questioning by the special services.
