Kyrgyzstan and the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) held negotiations on the joint implementation of significant infrastructure and investment projects. This was reported by the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, and Tian Qian, CEO of CSCEC and chairman of the board of directors of Zhongjiang Infrastructure Construction and Development LLC, discussed issues related to the construction and modernization of transport facilities, including roads, bridges, and railways, as well as the development of energy and utility systems. They also explored opportunities in real estate and comprehensive urban development. Special attention was given to the implementation of progressive "green" and digital technologies in infrastructure.
CSCEC representatives shared their international experience in project implementation, including participation in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, and discussed possible formats for cooperation with the Kyrgyz side, such as public-private partnerships (PPP), BOT, and EPC.
"We are focused on attracting strategic partners for the implementation of infrastructure projects. Cooperation with CSCEC gives us a chance to introduce modern technologies, attract investments, and improve infrastructure in the country," noted Ravshanbek Sabirov.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to develop long-term investment cooperation and work on specific projects for the construction and modernization of infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan.It is worth noting that the first meeting took place in Beijing during the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation, and the current visit of CSCEC representatives to Kyrgyzstan is a continuation of previously reached agreements and is aimed at deepening bilateral partnership.
