Increase in consumer prices and tariffs was observed in all regions of the republic in January-February, - National Statistics Committee
According to the agency's information, the consumer price index in the republic during the specified period was 101.9%. In particular, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 2.2%, for food and non-alcoholic beverages by 2.1%, and for non-food goods by 0.4%. Tariffs for services for the population rose by 3.6%.
The most significant price increases in February of this year affected fresh vegetables and fruits, potatoes, dairy products, cheeses, eggs, sausages, canned meats, lamb, beef, sugar, and fish. At the same time, there was a decrease in prices for animal fats and flour.
“The rise in consumer prices and tariffs has been noted in all regions of the country. The highest price increase (4.2%) occurred in the Issyk-Kul region, which is associated with the rise in the cost of alcohol and tobacco (by 5.8%) and service tariffs (by 12.1%). The Osh region showed the highest growth in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.5%) and non-food goods (3.3%),” he added.
