In January, inflation was 0.8%, with vegetables and meat seeing the highest price increases.
According to her data, there is a rise in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages, which amounted to 1%. Alcoholic products and tobacco increased by 0.8%, while non-food goods rose in price by 0.5%. Tariffs for services to the population increased by 0.7%.
In January, the most significant price increases were observed for fresh vegetables, potatoes, sausages and other canned meat products, milk, cheese, eggs, as well as lamb, beef, and fish.
However, there is a decline in prices for flour and rice.
The increase in consumer prices and tariffs affected all regions of the country. The highest growth — 1.3% — was recorded in the Batken region, where tariffs for services to the population rose by 2.6%.
In Bishkek, the increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages was 1.4%, while alcoholic beverages and tobacco products also became more expensive. The Jalal-Abad region noted the highest increase in prices for non-food goods — 1.3%.
